The PFA Volunteer Information Night/1154 Lill Party
7:00 pm at Chippewa School
A chance for parents to see all the things the PFA does, as well aswhat is already being planned for the next school year. Parents will have the opportunity to sign up for committees if they wish to become more involved with our district. There will also be a 1154 LILL custom handbag representative on handthis evening. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the PFA.
1154 LILL is a Chicago based company which offers clients the opportunity to design their own unique handbags and accessories.

On January 15th and 16th, 2009, our schools were closed due to the extreme cold weather conditions. Illinois School Code requires 176 days of student attendance, so these days must be made up. Our staff reported to our schools on January 16th for a Teacher Institute and will now forfeit their May 8th Institute day. Friday, May 8th will now become a ½ day of attendance for all students and a ½ day of School Improvement for Staff. Our original calendar also called for one hour of student attendance on June 5th. Friday, June 5th will now become a full day of attendance for K-8th grade students to make-up for January 16th. Students will now need to report on Monday, June 8th for 1 hour for their final day of attendance.
